March 3,  1837  Charlotte Journal
   DIED, in Mecklenburg County, at his residence seven miles east of 
Charlotte, on Sunday, the 26th ult., GUY MAXWELL, ESQ., in the 57th year of 
his age. He was born in Ireland and emigrated to this country in the 17th year 
of his age -- by his industry and economy, he soon acquired the funds 
necessary to commence the mercantile buiness, married, and lived in Charlotte 
for some years, and then removed to the Plantation, where he spent the balance 
of his life in merchandising and farming.
