Potts Dead - Widow of Late Capt. J.G. Potts Passes at the Presbyterian Hospital. Mrs. Margaret R. Potts died last night at 11:20 o'clock at the Presbyterian hospital after an illness of about ten days. Mrs. Potts was the widow of the late Capt. J.G. Potts and a sister of the late Capt. W.E. Ardrey. She is survived by a son, Mr. Leon A. Potts, of this county, and two daughters, Mrs. Ada Howard of the Providence neighborhood, Union county, and Mrs. W.M Barringer of Statesville; also by a brother, Mr. John W. Ardrey of Fort Mill, SC, and two sisters, Mrs. M.J. Bree and Mrs. S.H. Elliott of this county. For the past ten years Mrs. Potts has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Barringer, in Statesville. She lived prior to that time in Charlotte and in Pineville, this county. She was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian church. She had reached 70 years of age at the time of her death. She was greatly beloved by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held at Harrison church in Providence township this afternoon at 1 o'clock, and the interment will follow in the family cemetery at Harrison. Mrs. Potts' body was taken to Mr. James A. Bell's residence, 718 East Fourth Street, and the funeral party will leave from there at 10:30 o'clock for Harrison church.
