Mr. Sam Potts, a Confederate veteran well-known to many Charlotte people, died 
Wednesday night at Lake Waccamaw, where he had resided since the war. He is 
well remembered by numerous Charlotte sportsmen who are accustomed to go 
fishing in that vicinity and was very popular among them. The news of his 
passing will be received by them with much regret.
