MR. W. P. RITCH DEAD.

Death Occurred Wednesday Night.  Leaves Widow and Four Children.

The burial of Mr. W. P. Ritch occurred yesterday near Matthews.  Mr. Ritch died 
at his residence on College street, extended, Wednesday night at 11 o'clock.  
He was 70 years of age and a Confederate veteran, having served three years in 
the Thirty-fifth North Carolina Regiment.  He is survived by his widow and four 
children.  The children are Mrs. Mattie Keziah, of Monroe, Mrs. Somerville, 
Mrs. James Ritch and Mr. J. B. Ritch of Charlotte.
