March 4, 1836,  Charlotte Journal
   DIED, in Mecklenburg County, on the 17th ult., MR. SILAS RODGERS, in the 
26th year of his age. The deceased was the youngest son of HUGH RODGERS, who 
like many early settlers, took up arms in the Revolutionary struggle. The 
deceased died of consumption.
