Nov. 18, 1841   Charlotte Journal
   DIED, at his residence in Mecklenburg County, on the 25th ult., MR. HUGH 
RODGERS, in the 82nd year of his age. He was a Soldier in the Revolutionary 
War, in which he faithfully served his country in her struggle for 
Independence. He was of the Calvinistic order; in this faith through life he 
served God with acceptance. He left his aged companion and several children.
