   DIED, at her residence in Mecklenburg County, on the 28th ultimo, MRS. 
SUSANNAH SMART, in the 90th year of her age.
   It would be impossible in a brief obituary notice to do ample justice to 
the merit and worth of the deceased. She possessed a strong, vigorous and 
active intelledct and diligently improved every opportunity of acquiring 
useful knowledge. Bereaved of her husband and childreen, she lived a number of 
years solitary and alone.
