Sept. 16,  1836   Charlotte Journal
   DIED, on the 14th inst., MR. ROBERT SMITH, in the 47th year of his age, of 
Northumberland, England. He had been a short time in America and the greater 
part of it in the vicinity of Mecklenburg -- working at one of the mines. He 
left a wife and four children in England to mourn his death.
