Feb. 27, 1840  Charlotte Journal
   DIED, in Mecklenburg County, N. C. on the 23rd instant, MR. DANIEL R. 
WALKER, aged about 46, leaving a wife and four small children. MR. WALKER was 
a antive of the District of Columbia and had been a Lieutenant in the U. S. 
Navy.
