Died From Heart Trouble

Mrs. Carrie Weddington succumbs after long period of ill health.  Mrs. Carrie 
Sloan Weddington wife of J.Y. Weddington, died last night at 8:30 o'clock at 
her home No. 409 North Graham Street.  She had been sick about a year with 
heart trouble.  Mrs. Weddington was the daughter of E.B.D. Sloan and was born 
near Huntersville in 1851, being therefore about 52 years old. She is survived 
by one sister, Mrs. W.S. Caldwell of Caldwell Station, and one niece, Mrs. 
John Shell of Huntersville.  She was a consistent member of Tryon Street 
Methodist Church and a good woman.  The funeral will be conducted this 
afternoon at 4 0'clock from the residence.  The pall-bearers will be: Morris 
J.C. Lanycer, M.F. Kirby, John C. Watson, D.H. Anderson, J.C. Hunter, and J.E. 
Wearn.
