WHEELER'S FUNERAL IS ATTENDED BY MANY Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Carter Wheeler, wife of O. D. Wheeler, who died Sunday morning, were held from the Trinity Methodist Church, Tuesday morning, Rev. J. W. Moore, pastor, officiating, assisted by Rev. Dr. Marr, Mr. Moore's predecessor at Trinity, also by Rev. Dr. Bain, of Tryon Street Methodist Church. Liberty Hall chapter, D. A. R., of which Mrs. Wheeler was a member, attended the service in a body, each member carrying flowers. The quartet choir sang, "Peace Perfect Peace," and "Will There Be Any Stars in My Crown." Miss Mary Peasley, a relation of Mrs. Wheeler, sang the favorite solo of the deceased's "One Sweetly Solemn Thought." The following relatives of Mrs. Wheeler attended the funeral: Mrs. Wheeler's mother, mrs. E. R. Carter, of Wytheville, Va., her brother, Rev. Edward Carter and aunt, Miss Willie Withers, of Wytheville. E. J. Sterne of Little Rock, Ark., former partner of Mr. Wheeler, under the firm name of Wheeler and Sterne, also attended.
