Oct. 2,  1850   Charlotte Journal
   DIED, at Davidson College, on the 15th of September, JOHN S. WILLIAMSON, 
son of the REV. SAMUEL WILLIAMSON, D. D. This lovely youth was, with but a few 
hours warning, removed from time and all his earthly hopes, by quinsey, of 
which he had the first symptoms on Friday morning, but nothing to cause alarm 
until Sabbath at 12 o'clock and in 12 hours more, by inflammation and swelling 
of the throat, respiration was stopped.
   He was 16 years old the 29th of last March, a member of the Junior Class in 
College.
