Miss Hennie Blum Married

She Weds Mr. Bellinger, of Atlanta, a Gentile - A Surprise to Her Parents

Miss Hennie Blum, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Blum, of this city, was 
married in Atlanta several days ago to Mr. George Bellinger. Miss Blum is a 
Jewess and Mr. Bellinger a Gentile. 

News of the marriage did not reach here until yesterday morning, Mr. and Mrs. 
Blum receiving a letter from their daughter telling them of her marriage. 
Their surprise was great.

Miss Blum was head saleswoman in the millinery department at the Racket store 
here for some years. She gave up the place in the fall to accept a more 
lucrative one in Atlanta. Shortly after her arrival there she met Mr. George 
Bellinger, a young Gentile, who clerks in one of Atlanta dry good houses. It 
was a case of love at first sight, it seems. A few weeks after their meeting 
they were married.

The bride has an engagement in the Atlanta store until January 1st, so she 
will continue her work until then. The young man whom she has married has 
retained his position as clerk in the store in which he is employed for 
several years, and stands well in the community.

Mr. Blum says he would have preferred his daughter marrying some one of her 
own faith, as no one in his family for a hundred years back has ever married 
outside the Jewish faith, but that if it is all right with them, it is with 
him. He left last night for Atlanta to see his daughter and new son-in-law.
