John L. Morehead, this Morning Mr. John G. Bryce was married this morning to Miss Louise Morehead, daughter of Col. John L. Morehead. The ceremony was performed at the residence of Col. Morehead on South Tryon street at 10:30 o'clock by Rev. Dr. A.W. Miller, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of Charlotte and was witnessed only by the immediate members of the family. There were no attendants, but Mr. Ernest F. Young acted as the groom's best man. As the contracting parties entered the parlor the trail of the bride's dress was held up by little Miss Louise Jones, the daughter of Dr. Simmons Jones. The bride was richly arrayed in a white robe with real lace trimmings, and her ornaments were diamonds. It had been arranged for the brilliant wedding in the First Presbyterian church, but this plan was abandoned upon account of the recent death of Col. Eugene Morehead, the bride's uncle and instead the marriage was quietly celebrated at home. The ceremony was performed in an impressive manner by Dr. Miller and at its conclusion, breakfast was served. The newly wedded left this afternoon for a trip through Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Bryce were the recipients of many very elegant and handsome presents. They start out on their journey through life with the heartiest congratulations of their large number of friends, and along with all the others, The News begs to be allowed to extend its happiest wishes.
