Burns of Salem, Va. was married in this city at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon to Miss Ida Buchanan at the residence of Mr. A.L. Buchanan. Rev. Dr. Poole was the officiating minister. The bride was arrayed in a lovely cream brocade silk with demi train, V neck, with short sleeves, kid gloves and kid slippers. Her dress was handsomely trimmed with orange blossoms. Her wreath was of orange blossoms, with long silk illusion veil, and her ornaments were diamonds, with a handsome boquet of orange blossoms presented by a friend from Brazil, South America which she carried in her hand. The best man was Mr. Swift Davis of Charlotte, NC and Mr. Martin of Salem, Va. Among the many handsome and costly presents was a lovely ladies gold watch set with diamonds. The happy couple with many good wishes left on the 6:35 train for Salem, Va. where there is to be a grand reception given them.
