Long was married to Mrs. Alice Davis Potts. The officiating minister was Rev. D.F. Carver of the Methodist church. The marriage took place in the presence of only a few friends. Of the groom's relatives, there were present Mr. A.F. Long of Derita and Mr. N.C. Long of Lumberton. The flower girls were Evelyn Potts and Mary Torrence. Mr. and Mrs. Long left on the 7:45 train for Charlotte from which point they go to Moore's Springs. They expect to be absent from Davidson about two weeks, spending part of the time in Yadkin County visiting the bride's mother and other relatives. Bride and groom are well and pleasantly known in this community. The former for a number of years an adopted daughter of Davidson, has won for herself a warm place in the affections of an extended circle of friends. Tthe groom, a young merchant who by thrift, industry, and good business qualities, has thoroughly established himself a real and steady factor in the commercial life of the town.
