Virtue-McGee

Miss Virtue and Mr. J.B. McGee Married in Greenville, SC

Miss Minnie Virtue, and Mr. J.B. McGee were married Sunday in Greenville, SC.

Miss Virtue has been trimmer for J.G. Hood & Co. for three seasons. Mr. McGee 
is one of the clerks. They have been engaged for several months, but no one 
suspected that they were so soon contemplating matrimony. It was given out 
that she was going North for Christmas, and he to Anderson, SC, his home. 
Instead of this they went to Greenville, were married and went from there to 
Anderson to visit his relatives. They will return to the city today and board 
at Architect Sawyer's.

The bride is from Baltimore. She is a pretty, stylish little woman and has 
made many friends here.

The groom came here two years ago to accept a position with Hood & Co. He has 
made friends and kept them. He and his bride had known each other for six 
years, first in Anderson, where she spent a season; then in New York, where he 
had a position and lastly in Charlotte.
