ISABELL BALLEW 

ALBERTVILLE, AL. - Isabell Ballew, 85, formerly of the Seven Mile Ridge 
community, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005. She was the daughter of the late 
Jessie and Sadie Aldridge Wiseman, and wife of the late Reid A. Ballew. She was 
also preceded in death by a sister, Susie Wiseman, and brothers, Joe, Buck and 
Mack Wiseman.

She is survived by her children, Mary Ellen Burns of Albertville, AL, Willie 
Mae Walton of Danville, VA, and Robert M. Ballew, of Reidsville; sisters, 
Beulah Carpenter, Evelyn Phillips and Emma Boone, all of Newland, and Betty 
Thomas of Bakersville; brothers Ralph and Robert Wiseman of Newland; five 
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. 
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel 
of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Rev. Glenn Autrey officiated. Burial was 
in the Ballew Family Cemetery. The family received friends from 1 p.m. until 
the service hour Sunday at the home.
