LOLA B. BARNETT 
 
GREEN MOUNTAIN - Lola B. Barnett, 85, of the Brummitts Creek community, died 
Friday, Sept. 28, 2007 at Johnson City Medical Center. She was the daughter of 
the late Woodard and Martha Willis Barnett. She was also preceded in death by 
a brother, Floyd Barnett; and two sisters, Marie Barnett and Pearl Bennett.

Survivors include her husband, Zeke Barnett of the home; one daughter, Ina Kay 
Peterson of Brummitts Creek; a son, Steve Barnett of Possum Trot; two 
brothers, Carl Barnett of Burnsville, and Clifford Barnett of Pigeon Roost; 
two sisters, Idella Miller and Helen Sturgill, both of Pigeon Roost; two 
grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Yancey Funeral 
Service in Burnsville. A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Monday in White 
Pine Cemetery on Byrd Creek in the Pigeon Roost community. The family received 
friends from 6 p.m. until the service hour Sunday at the funeral home.
