KATE BIDDIX BEAVER 

HICKORY- Kate Biddix Beaver, 71, died Sunday, July 1, 2007 at her home. Born 
in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Willard H. and Rissie 
Hensley Biddix. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Willard 
Biddix Jr., William Biddix, and Charlie Biddix; and two sisters, Mabel Biddix 
and Melda Hawley.

Survivors include her husband, Vance Oliver Beaver of the home; a son, Phillip 
Beaver of Hildebran; daughters, Grace Brock of Connelly Springs, and Julie 
Killian of Hickory; two brothers, Carl Biddix of Hickory, and Gene Biddix of 
Washington, NC; a sister, Phoebe Tipton of Marion; six grandchildren; and 12 
great-grandchildren. 

A Celebration of Life service was held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Catawba Funeral 
Home. The Rev. Terry Ritchie officiated. The family received friends from 6-8 
p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
