RUBY ELLEN MCGUIRE BIDDIX 
 
SPRUCE PINE - Ruby Ellen McGuire Biddix, 86, of the Altapass community, died 
Wednesday, March 28, 2007. She was the daughter of the late Rev. J.T. McGuire 
and Laura Rominger, and wife of the late Aaron "Bud" Biddix. She was a 
homemaker and a member of Altapass Church of God.

Survivors include three daughters, Laura Kay Simerly of Hampton, Tenn., and 
Mary Ellen Hollifield and Charlotte Edwards, both of Spruce Pine; a son, Aaron 
Biddix Jr. of Linville; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Altapass Church of God. The 
Revs. Cameron Smith, Bill Mitchell and Steve Williams officiated. Burial was 
in McKinney Gap Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at 
the church. Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine assisted the family.
