Henline-Hughes Funeral Home (on-line)
Jean Johnson Buchanan, age 86 of Winston Salem NC passed away June 29, 2008 at 
South Fork Assisted Living in Winston Salem, NC. She was a native of Mitchell 
County, NC and the daughter of the late Dub and Ada Buchanan Johnson. She lived 
in Beckley West Virginia for many years, and McDowell County, NC for a short 
time. 

Survivors include; daughters, Sabra Buchanan, and Carolyn Mason, and husband 
John, of Winston Salem, NC, sister, Kathrine Riddle, of Spruce Pine, NC, two 
stepchildren, Abigail Collins, and Mary Ellen Collins, sister in laws, Teresa 
Johnson and Virginia Johnson.  She was preceded in death by; husband, Glen 
Buchanan, brothers, Robert (Bud) Johnson and Glenn Johnson, sisters, Edna 
Wiseman, Gladys Pittman, and Betty Murphy. 

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 2 at 3:00PM in the chapel of 
Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Gary Greene and Harold Burleson officiating. 
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will 
follow at Spruce Pine Memorial Cemetery. 

The family would like to say a special thank you to her caregivers at South 
Fork Assisted Living and Hospice and Palliative Care of Forsythe County.  
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center 101 Hospice Lane 
Winston Salem, NC 27103.
