WILLIAM B. BUCHANAN 

BAKERSVILLE - William B. Buchanan, 78, of Green Creek Road, died Thursday, Dec. 
8, 2005 at his home. He was the son of the late Thomas and Lelia Ellen Randolph 
Buchanan. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Little Rock Creek Baptist 
Church. He was a home manager for Residential Support Services in Charlotte.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Ledford Buchanan of the home; a son, Gary 
Buchanan of Hickory; a daughter, Janet Cook of Charlotte; sisters, Judy 
McKinney of Johnson City, TN, and Pearl Gouge of Unicoi, TN; a brother, John 
Buchanan of Kingsport, TN; two grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Henline-Hughes 
Funeral Home in Bakersville. Rev. Billy Stewart officiated. Burial followed in 
Randolph-Buchanan Cemetery on Hwy. 261. The family received friends from 1 p.m. 
until the service hour at the funeral home.
