ROD BURLESON 

SPRUCE PINE - Charles Rodney "Rod" Burleson, 70, of Virginia Beach, Va., died 
Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2008 in Virginia Beach Health and Rehabilitation Center. 
He as the son of the late G.E. "Shorty" and Ida McKinney Burleson. He was a 
U.S. Navy Veteran.

Survivors include one son, Chuck Burleson of Virginia Beach, Va.; two 
daughters, Andrea Wallace of Ft. Bragg, and Jessica Bailey of Virginia Beach; 
one sister, Ila Gail McFalls of Laurinburg; and seven grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel 
of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Burial was in Burnette Cemetery. The 
family received friends from 10 a.m. until the service hour Friday at the 
funeral home.
