ALICE MAE BURLESON
Bakersville - Alice Mae Burleson, age 94, of Roan Mountain, Tenn., died 
Thursday, March 21, 1996 at her home.  A native of Mitchell County, she was 
the daughter of Avery and Peggy Ledford Buchanan and the wife of Len Burleson 
who died in 1978.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Cloudland 
Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Belle Burleson of Baltimore, MD, and Sue 
B. Honeycutt of Bakersville; two sons, J.D. Burleson of Roan Mountain and 
James Burleson of Bakersville; sister Mary Lail of Marion; brother Roosevelt 
Harris of Marion; 24 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and one great-
great-grandchild.
Funeral services ere held March 24, in the Cloudland Baptist Church with the 
Revs. Glen Autrey and Randy English officiating.  Burial followed in the 
Burleson Cemetery.
