CLAUDE BURLESON 

SPRUCE PINE - Claude Burleson, 79, of Silvers Hollow Road, died Saturday, April 
29, 2006 in Spruce Pine Community Hospital. He was the son of the late Oady and 
Ada Silvers Burleson. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Madge Marie 
Wilson. He was a retired carpet installer with Self-Blanton Furniture Company.

Survivors include two brothers, Cecil and Homer Burleson, both of Spruce Pine; 
one nephew; and three great nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Henline-Hughes 
Funeral Home in Bakersville. Bud Atkins and Lloyd Harris officiated. Burial was 
at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Silvers Cemetery. The family received friends from 6 p.m. 
until the service hour Monday at the funeral home.
