Henline-Hughes Funeral Home
Debra Sue Burleson, age 51, of Greasy Creek Road Bakersville NC, passed away 
May 15, 2008 at the Johnson City Medical Center.  She was a native of Mitchell 
County, NC, and the daughter of Rose Ann Ledford of Bakersville and the late 
Akers Ledford of Bakersville.  She was formerly employed at the Mitchell County 
CAPS Program.  She was a committed member of the Roans Chapel Freewill Baptist 
Church and served as Clerk and the Primary Sunday School Teacher.

Survivors include; her husband of 32 years Larry Burleson of Bakersville, Son, 
Chris Burleson and wife Elisha of Bakersville, daughter Leslie Chandler and 
husband Gene of Bakersville, brother Larry Ledford of Johnson City, TN, very 
special cousins Mike Hughes, Penny Brinkley, and Bailey Brinkley, a host of 
brothers in law, sisters in law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and 
her very special Church family.

She was preceded in death by her father Akers Ledford and Grandparents Tom and 
Ora Pitman.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 17th from 6 PM until 8PM at the 
chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, 
May 18th at 2 PM at the Roans Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Paul Ault and 
Lester (Bo) Perkins officiating.  The body will lie in state one hour prior to 
the service.  Interment will follow at the Greasy Creek Cemetery, Campbell 
Cemetery Road.

Henline-Hughes is assisting the Burleson family.
