Myrtle Buchanan

Deceased  --  Jan. 22, 2001, Myrtle Buchanan, age 90, of Marion, McDowell
Co., and formerly of Mitchell Co.     Burial in Berry Chapel Cemetery.
She was daughter of John Sparks and his wife Mattie Grindstaff Sparks, and
widow of Ed Buchanan, Sr.    She was a member of Berry Chapel Bptist Church,
Spruce Pine, Mitchell Co.
Survivors are Son Ed Buchanan, Jr. of Marion, NC, Hubert Buchanan of Spruce
Pine, NC and Sam Buchanan of Salisbury, NC., sisters Pauline Sparks Ward of
Johnson City, TN., and Ruth Sparks Butler of Idaho Falls, Id., five
grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
