ANNA HUGHES BUCHANAN

SPRUCE PINE ­ Anna Hughes Buchanan, of Valley Road, died Tuesday, March 6,
2001 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Carrie
Miller Hughes, and wife of the late Lawrence Buchanan. She was a member of
Pineola Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Janice Knight of Altamonte Springs, FL,
Janes Jilanovich of Altamont, and Deborah Benfield of Plumtree; 10
grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Grindstaff Memorial
Chapel of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Rev. Joseph Miller officiated.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m.
Thursday at the funeral home.
