CLIFFORD LEE BIDDIX
SPRUCE PINE – Clifford Lee Biddix, 70, of Biddix Road, died Monday, March 4, 
2002 at Spruce Pine Community Hospital. He was the son of the late Mose and 
Texie Washburn Biddix. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gordon 
Biddix. He was a U.S. Army veteran, where he received numerous service medals. 
He was also a lifetime member of the VFW and DAV. He retired from the National 
Park Service.
Survivors include four daughters, Adell Biddix, Audrie Masters and Sandra 
Ledford, all of Spruce Pine, and Ann Street of Green Mountain; brothers, Frank 
W. and Blaine Biddix of Spruce Pine, and Albert Biddix of Asheville; and 11 
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Grindstaff Memorial 
Chapel of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Revs. Steve Sisk, R.M. Cassity and 
Joe Biddix officiated. Burial was in McKinney Gap Cemetery. The family 
received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
