GRACE S. BIDDIX

GASTONIA - Grace Silvers Biddix, 78, died Friday, June 6, 2003 at 
Gaston Memorial Hospital. A native of Mitchell County, she was the 
daughter of Rose Carpenter Silvers of Spruce Pine and the late 
Dallas Silvers, and wife of the late James E. Biddix. She was also 
preceded in death by a sister, Maude Silvers, and brothers, Roy and 
Paul Silvers. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Brenda Eaves 
of Bessemer City; brothers, Perry Silvers of Baltimore, MD, and L.D. 
and Charles Silvers, both of Spruce Pine; sisters, Jennie King and 
Frances Pruitt, both of Morganton, Bessie Smith and Wilma McMahan of 
Spruce Pine, and Louise Bishop of Burnsville; three grandchildren; and 
five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Monday at Bethel Baptist Church. 
Rev. James Drennan officiated. Burial was in Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery. 
The family received friends from 7-9 p.m. at Sisk Butler Funeral Home in 
Bessemer City.
