MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Allene Perkins Blevins, 1 Apr 2005

JOHNSON CITY, TN - Allene Perkins Blevins, 86, of S. Roan Street, died Friday,
April 1, 2005 in Johnson City Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late
Oscar J. and Lila Ingram Perkins, and wife of the late Prince Herbert Blevins.
She was also preceded in death by a son, D.F. Blevins; a brother, George
Perkins; a step-daughter, Emma Lee Leonard; and one infant son. She was a
homemaker and the oldest member of Rich Acres Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Zeola Cole of Elizabethton; a son, O.J.
Blevins of Jonesborough, TN; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.


Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Sunday at Rich Acres Freewill Baptist
Church. J.D. Price and Jerry Cannon officiated. Burial was at 11 a.m. Monday
in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family received friends from 5 p.m. until
the service hour Sunday at the church. Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in
Bakersville was in charge of arrangements.
