A native of Spruce Pine, she was the daughter of the late Dermont and Ellen Lovena, and wife of the late Harry F. Boetcher. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Colin Breckon. She was a graduate of Lenoir Rhyne College and veteran of the Army Air Corps. She was an active Girl Scout volunteer and an avid golfer. Survivors include daughters Karen Breckon of Seattle, WA and Carol Edgar of Bigfork, MT; and one granddaughter. A memorial service will be scheduled for later this summer. Memorial donations may be made to the Bigfork Quick Response Unit and the Big Sky Girl Scout Council.
