MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Minnie Irene Braswell, 25 Oct 2004

SPRUCE PINE - Minnie Irene Braswell, 78, of the Ingalls community, 
died Monday, Oct. 25, 2004. She was the daughter of the late Charles 
and Carrie Fletcher, and wife of the late Rev. Lewis Braswell. A member 
of North Cove Church of God, she was also preceded in death by a brother, 
Donald Fletcher; and a sister, Jewel Bartlett.

Survivors include her sons, Floyd Braswell of Bakersville; Wayne Braswell 
of Spruce Pine, and Kenneth Braswell of Tryon; daughters, Vanessa Redish 
of Jonas Ridge, Martha and Sharon Braswell of the home, and Wanda Cooper 
of Burnsville; 13 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. 
A celebration and homegoing service was held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the 
Grindstaff Memorial Chapel of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Revs. 
Howard Riddle and Eugene Moore officiated. Burial was Thursday in Newland 
Cemetery. The family received friends from 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday at the 
funeral home.
