JUNE MCKINNEY BURLESON
SPRUCE PINE – June McKinney Burleson, 66, of Barney McKinney Road, died 
Thursday, February 14, 2002. She was the daughter of the late Sam and Irene 
McKinney. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Phillip McKinney.

Survivors include her husband, Lewis Clinton Burleson Sr., of the home; 
daughters, Arla Collins of Marion, Deborah Anderson of Nebo, and Sharon 
Waldrop of the home; sons, Clinton Burleson of Old Fort, Sam Burleson of 
Newland, and Richard Burleson of Morganton; sisters, Barbara Braswell and 
Betty Hall, both of Spruce Pine; brother, Albert McKinney of Kings Mountain; 
12 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel 
of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Revs. Sam Dale and Harry Nix officiated. 
Burial followed in Grassy Creek Memorial Gardens. The family received friends 
from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
