CHESTER BURLESON JR.

BAKERSVILLE - Chester Burleson Jr., 73, of Route 261, died Wednesday, 
Apr. 9, 2003. He was the son of the late Chester and Sallie Street 
Burleson. A U.S. Army veteran, he owned and operated Chester's Tree 
Service in Baltimore, MD for 15 years.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Buchanan Burleson of the home; sons, 
Roger Burleson of Baltimore, MD, and Randy Burleson of Bakersville; a 
daughter, Sharon Buerhaus of Baltimore; brothers, Homer and Roy Burleson, 
both of Bakersville; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Henline-
Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville. Rev. Jack Callahan officiated. 
Burial followed in Hobson Cemetery. The family received friends from 
7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made 
to the American Diabetes Association.
