JACK BURLESON

BAKERSVILLE - Jack Burleson, 76, of NC Hwy. 226, died 
Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003 at James H. Quillen VA Medical 
Center in Tennessee. He was the son of the late Roby and 
Dessie Greene Burleson. A member of the Bakersville Masonic 
Lodge, he was retired from the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Cook Burleson of the 
home; sons, Jimmie Burleson of Bakersville, and Jerry 
Burleson of Kingsport, TN; sisters, Muril Hobson of 
Bakersville, and Goldie Conover and Jean Maples, both of 
Roseville, CA; and four grandchildren.
A private graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Thursday 
in Burleson Cemetery. Revs. Bob Seatz and Ronnie Gouge 
officiated. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of 
Mitchell County, P.O. Box 38, Spruce Pine, NC 28777. 
Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville was in charge 
of arrangements.
