MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Harold Burleson, 7 Nov 2004

BAKERSVILLE - Harold Burleson, 71, of Green Cove Road, died Sunday, 
Nov. 7, 2004 at his home. He was the son of the late Frank and Minnie 
Dellinger Burleson. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruth 
Braswell; and brothers, George and Leonard Burleson. He was retired 
from Unimin Corporation, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Sue Burleson of the home; daughters, 
Rachel Davis, Bobbie Hobson, and Loretta Hobson, all of Bakersville; 
sisters, Irene Fullbright of Icard, Betty Huffman of Valdese, and 
Frankie Murphy of Green Mountain; brothers, Henry, Jeter, and Howard 
Burleson, all of Bakersville; five grandchildren; and one great grandson. 
Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. tuesday in the chapel of Henline-
Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville. Revs. Ronnie Gouge and Danny Silvers 
officiated. Burial was at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Cane Creek Cemetery No. 
1. The family received friends from 6 p.m. until the service hour at the 
funeral home.
