WILLIAM YARBOROUGH "PEEWEE" BROWN

SPRUCE PINE - William Yarborough "PeeWee" Brown, 87, of Rhododendron 
Avenue, died Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2003 in a Johnson City hospital. He 
was the son of the late Brazal and Arizona Yarboro Brown, and husband 
of the late Mary Elizabeth Anderson Brown. He was a member of Trinity 
Episcopal Church since 1954 and was a charter member and secretary of 
the Spruce Pine Kiwanis Club for 45 years. He was also a member of the 
American Business Club. A U.S. Army veteran of WWII, he was retired 
from the postal service.
Survivors include his son, Dan Brown of Johnson City, TN; a sister, 
Betty Willis of Sylva; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m.. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal 
Church. Rev. Thomas Morris officiated. Webb Funeral Home was in charge 
of arrangements.
