MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Wilma Mace Burnette, 23 Mar 2004

SPRUCE PINE - Wilma Mace Burnette, 76, of Sunshine Street, died 
Tuesday, Mar. 23, 2004 at Spruce Pine Community Hospital. She was 
the daughter of the late Jeter and Annie Mace, and wife of the late 
Arthur Guy Burnette. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruby 
Mace. She was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandy Hopson of Spruce Pine; a son, 
Dennis Burnette of Kingston, TN; a sister, Pearl Byrd of Spruce Pine; 
a brother, Bill Mace of Lenoir City, TN; three granddaughters; three 
great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 
Funeral services were held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Grindstaff 
Memorial Chapel of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Revs. David 
Johnson and Greg Burnette officiated. Burial was at 11 a.m. Friday in 
Burnette Cemetery. The family received friends from 6 p.m. until the 
service hour at the funeral home.
