MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Eastaline Honeycutt Byrd, 3 Oct 2004

BAKERSVILLE - Eastaline Honeycutt Byrd, 71, of Hughes Gap Road, 
died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004 in Johnson City Medical Center. She was 
the daughter of the late Frank and Ettie Hughes Honeycutt, and wife 
of the late Harold Byrd. She was a member of Odoms Chapel Freewill 
Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star, Caryville, TN.

Survivors include a stepson, Jimmy Byrd of Spruce Pine; a sister, 
Haseltine H. Odom of Bakersville; brothers, Elmer Honeycutt of 
Ellenboro, and Ronald Honeycutt of Sunshine; four step grandchildren; 
and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Odoms Chapel 
Freewill Baptist Church. Revs. Bobby Campbell and Randy English 
officiated. Burial followed in Garland Cemetery. The family received 
friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in 
Bakersville.
