CHARLES WESLEY CALLOWAY 

SPRUCE PINE - Charles Wesley "C.W." Calloway, 73, of the Three Mile community, 
died Friday, May 11, 2007 at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville. He was 
the son of Madge Dean Calloway of Plumtree and the late Homer Calloway. He was 
also preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Calloway. He was a member of Pisgah 
United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday School for the senior class. 
He was retired from Coats America, after 44 years of service.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Louise Wise Calloway of 
the home; a son, Wesley Calloway of Three Mile; a sister, Pat French Woody of 
Marion; one brother, Dean Calloway of Newland; six grandchildren; and several 
nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel 
of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Bro. Jim Greene and the Rev. Phillip 
McCall officiated. Burial was at 11 a.m. Monday in Pisgah Cemetery. The family 
received friends from 5 p.m. until the service hour Sunday at the funeral home.
