KATHERINE G. OLLIS 

BAKERSVILLE - Katherine G. Collis, 91, of Ridgeview Lane, died Saturday, Jan.
15, 2005 in Spruce Pine Community Hospital. She was the daughter of the late
Winslow and Martha Jane Bryant Gortney, and wife of the late Roy Collis. She
was also preceded in death by a sister, Buena Griffith.

Survivors include two sons, Scott Collis of Colfax, and Donnie Collis of
Bakersville; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Henline-Hughes
Funeral Home in Bakersville. Rev. Ronnie Peterson officiated. Burial was at 1
p.m. Wednesday in Ridgeview Cemetery. The family received friends from 6 p.m.
until the service hour Tuesday at the funeral home.
