MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Wilma Grace Cornwell, 12 Apr 2004

SPRUCE PINE - Wilma Grace Cornwell, 87, died Monday, Apr. 12, 2004 
at her home. She was the daughter of the late Sherbet Day and 
Evangaline Hall McKinney, and wife of the late James F. Cornwell. 
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette Howell; and 
two brothers, Claxton and S.D. McKinney Jr. She was a member of 
Central Baptist Church and was owner of Wilma Eloise Shop for almost 
40 years. She also served on the board of NCNB.

Survivors include her brothers, Charles C. McKinney of Raleigh, and 
William Eugene McKinney of Newdale. 
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Grindstaff 
Memorial Chapel of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Private graveside 
services followed in Spruce Pine Memorial Cemetery. Memorial donations 
may be made to Hospice of Mitchell County, P.O. Box 38, Spruce Pine, 
NC 28777.
