DOROTHY MARLOWE COULTER

SPRUCE PINE - Dorothy Marlowe Coulter, 70, of the Deer Park Lake 
community, died Tuesday June, 24, 2003 at her home. She was the 
daughter of the late Lester Marlowe and Edith Murphy Marlowe of Spruce 
Pine. A member of Spruce Pine United Methodist Church, she worked with 
the Employment Security Commission as a counselor/interviewer. Most 
recently she was employed with the Yancey Nursing Center as a social 
worker.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Oscar V. 
Coulter Jr. of the home, and son, Oscar Vernon Coulter, III of Spruce 
Pine.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Grindstaff Memorial 
Chapel of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Revs. Lynda T. Briggs and 
Larry Greene officiated. The family received friends from 1 p.m. until 
the service hour at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to
