MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Elizabeth Young Cox, 21 Mar 2004

BAKERSVILLE - Elizabeth Young Cox, 78, of Hwy. NC 226, died Sunday, 
Mar. 21, 2004 at White Oak Family Care. She was the daughter of the 
late Anderson and Rhetta Burleson Young. She was the owner/operator 
of Roan Upholstery and a member of Roan Valley Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Cox of the home; daughters, Deby 
Woodie of Newland, and Nona Cox of Bakersville and Kathy Annis of 
Hudson; sons, Jack and Sam Cox, both of Bakersville; a sister, Lucille 
Ferguson of Jonesborough, TN; and eight grandchildren. 
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of 
Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville. Rev. Roger Hilemon 
officiated. Burial was in Burleson Cemetery. The family received friends 
from 1 p.m. until the service hour at the funeral home.
