ARLIND CROWDER

SPRUCE PINE - Arlind Crowder, 84, of Bent Road, died Wednesday, 
Nov. 21, 2002 in Spruce Pine Community Hospital. He was the son 
of the late Gilbert and Ellen McClellan Crowder, and husband of 
the late Alma Townsend Crowder. He was a member of Fairview 
Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sons, Arthur, Alec and Tony Crowder, all 
of Spruce Pine; sisters, Sylvia Fisher of Spruce Pine, Ruby 
Bartlett of Morganton, and Velvie Ollis of Marion; a brother, 
Ellis Crowder of Morganton; 16 grandchildren; and 24 great 
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fairview Baptist 
Church. Revs. Harold Dellinger and Matt Wilson officiated. Burial 
was in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 
p.m. at Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine.
