Henline-Huges Funeral Home
Linda Elsie Balentine Davis, age 60 of Bluff View Drive, Bakersville NC passed 
away June 26, 2008 at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital. She was the Daughter of the 
late John and Elsie Dourette Balentine and previously employed with the 
Mitchell County School System and also worked later as a Jailer for the county. 

Survivors include children; James Joseph Garofalo, of Spruce Pine, NC and 
Norris Davis and Cathy Davis Bowman, both of Bakersville, NC, brother, William 
Balentine, of Pa, and sister, Joanne Batistta, also of Pa, five grandchildren, 
Lori Garofalo McCourry, Megan Hoilman, David Hoilman Jr, Damion Hoilman, and 
Erica Davis.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Davis. 

Private Graveside services will be held at a later date. In Lieu of Flowers 
memorials may be made to   American Heart Association National Center 7272 
Greenville Avenue Dallas, TX 75231.
