DAVID LEE DELLINGER 

CROSSNORE - David Lee Dellinger, 71, of Sam Brown Lane, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 
2006 in Johnson City Medical Center. He was the son of Harold Maldon and Mamie 
Lee Taylor Dellinger. He was a member of Stamey Town Baptist Church where he 
taught Sunday School. He was a magistrate and a Sheriff's Deputy. He was also 
a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Esther Clark Dellinger of the home; a son, Alton 
Lee Dellinger of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a daughter, Penny Melissa Barlow of 
Wilkesboro; a brother, Ross Dellinger of Newland; a sister, Ramona Brewer of 
Altamont; and one grandson. 

Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Thursday at Stamey Town Baptist Church. 
Revs. David Johnson and Wade Boone officiated. The family received friends 
from 6 p.m. until the service hour Thursday at the church. Burial was at 11:45 
a.m. Friday in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the Pat 
Ray Post of the VFW. Memorial donations may be made to Stamey Town Baptist 
Church Building Fund, Newland, NC 28657.
