WILMA DUNCAN 

BAKERSVILLE - Wilma Duncan, 71, of Rhododendron Circle, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 
2005 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary McKinney 
Vancem and wife of the late Edgar Duncan. She was also preceded in death by a 
daughter, Sheila Duncan Robinson. She was a member of Berry Chapel Baptist 
Church.

Survivors include her sons, Randall Duncan of Spruce Pine, and Eddie Duncan of 
Marion; daughters, Brenda Cain, and Mary Buchanan, both of Bakersville; one 
brother, Dick Vance of Spruce Pine; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great 
grandchildren. 
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Berry Chapel Baptist Church. 
Revs. Danny Silvers, Arthur Buchanan, and Greg Hollifield officiated. Burial 
was in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8:30 p.m. at the 
church. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Mitchell County, P.O. Box 
38, Spruce Pine, NC 28777.
